３Ｍには、執務時間の15％を自分の好きな研究に使ってもよいとする「15％ルール」という不文律があり ます。このおかげで、奇妙な接着剤を持って社内の人々に意見を求めてまわるシルバーの行動をとがめる人はいませんでしたが、真剣に耳を貸そうとする人もあ りませんでした。コマーシャル・テープ製品事業部の研究員、アート・フライもその一人でした。特別関心を持ったわけではありませんでしたが、フライの記憶 にはしっかりとその接着剤のことが焼きつけられていたようです。
１９７４年のある日曜日、教会の聖歌隊のメンバーであったフライは、いつものように讃美歌集のページをめくりました。すると目印に挟んでいたしおりがひら りと滑り落ちてしまいました。またか...と思った瞬間、フライの頭の中にひらめくものがありました。「これに、あの接着剤を使えばいいんだ！」５年前に シルバーが作り出した奇妙な接着剤の用途がこの時初めて具体的なイメージとなったのです。

I must say, as a lot as I enjoyed reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose interest after a while. Its as if you had a great grasp on the topic matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from more than one angle. Or maybe you shouldnt generalise so significantly. Its better if you think about what others may have to say instead of just going for a gut reaction to the subject. Think about adjusting your very own thought process and giving others who may read this the benefit of the doubt.
