また、町内IP電話兼ADSL専用モデムの到着に２週間ほど時間がかかる事が判明。
しばらく更新ができない実にがっかりな事態になってしまいました。
とはいえ、ただそれだけの報告をしても非常にツマラナイので
新しく借りる圃場の法面草刈の際に、早速電動式草刈機を使用しましたので
実際の使用感を報告します。
１）騒音
チラシではガソリン型よりも８dB低い、とありましたが実際は相当低く感じます。作業員同士の話し声が聞き取れるレベルに抑えられているのは正直かなり大きいです。
２）振動
ありますが、相当抑えられています。なお、翌日は別の場所でガソリン型草刈機を使用しましたがガソリン型はかなり酷く感じました。
３）重量
残念ながらガソリン型よりもちょっと重いです。が、プロ用農作業機械にはこれよりも重たい機械がわんさかありますし、個人的にはまあ許容範囲内といったところでしょうか。
とはいえ、騒音や振動が少ない分、総合的には疲れがたまりにくいと感じました。
４）稼働時間
カタログでは「４５分／本」とありますが、フルスロットルで回転させまくると30分／本、半分程度に抑えても35分／本と、正直稼働時間は短いです！まともに運用するなら最低１０本のバッテリーが必要になりそうです。
ガソリン型は1L（満タン）につき連続で１時間半〜２時間は軽く回せますから短さはなおの事感じます。
しかしながら、草刈機につきものの「白ろう病」は、強く振動する物体を長時間連続して握り続けることによって発生することから、その根本的な対策となっている可能性もあります。
でもせめて４０分／本は欲しいです・・・。
５）電動式の特記事項
・絡みついた草や枝を逆回転で簡単に除去できる「カラミトリボタン」が存在し、この点はかなり使い勝手が良い。
・草刈は小雨で決行することもあるため、電動製品の「耐水性」が存在するかを確認必要。
・スイッチ〜モーターのコード切断には要注意
バッテリが大量に必要となり、また１本当りの稼働時間が短いため初期投資額は高くなりますが、使用後の疲労度や使い勝手等色々と総合してみますと電動式草刈機は十分考慮すべき内容と考えます。
