しかしながら、パケット通信定額制のプラン加入について「財務大臣」の"事業仕分け"でバッサリカットされたり、"復活折衝"も出来なかった実に残念な方は、以下の方法をお試しください。
iPhoneの場合は持っていないためご紹介することはできませんが、充電ケーブルを兼ねたUSBケーブルを経由して、データのバックアップが取れる、はずです？
iPhone以外の、いわゆる普通の携帯端末の場合、movaのよほど古い機種でない限り「外部記憶媒体」を挿入するスロットがあります。
挿入スロットの位置は機種により異なります（携帯電話内の電池を取り外す必要のある機種もあります）。もし挿入されていない場合は、「外部記憶媒体」を購入してください。
◎外部記憶媒体の挿入口
microSDの挿入スロット（写真はP706ie,PA-06）
miniSDの挿入スロット（写真はP900iV）

上写真のように、お使いの機種によって使用可能な外部記憶媒体の種類や形状が異なります。（microSD、microSD/HC、古い機種ではminiSD、一部の古いソニーエリクソン社製携帯端末ではMemorystick Duo）
また、携帯端末で認識可能な容量も機種によって全く異なります。外部記憶媒体をお買い求めの際は、必ず事前にマニュアルか各携帯端末のサービスセンターへご確認ください。
端末に外部記憶媒体をセットしたら、必ず「フォーマット」を行います。
フォーマットを行った後、カメラで撮影した動画データ、静止画データを外部記憶媒体へコピーします。
そのついでに、電話帳データやその他諸々のデータもコピーしてバックアップを作成してしまいましょう！
外部記憶媒体にコピーした動画データは、このようなマルチカードリーダを用いてお手持ちのPCに接続します。
あとは、PCからのアップロード編に従って動画投稿を行います。
冒頭の「財務大臣」による"事業仕分け"で残念なことになった方も、「大事なデータのバックアップを取る必要がある！」という名目で外部記憶媒体を購入しては如何でしょうか？
